Alejandro Ferllen, co-owner and visionary force behind multiple Miami hotspots, has a simple recipe for success: Making entertainment inevitable. This fail-proof strategy has enabled him to successfully bring to life many new concepts while re-defining the Miami lifestyle.

Alejandro, a world connoisseur, is a native Argentinean from Mendoza, land of the fabled Malbec wine, yet before venturing in the United States resided in both Brazil and Spain. His extended involvement in the entertainment industry began while living in Villa Carlos Paz Córdoba, Argentinean tourist hot-spot famous for its nightlife entertainment, which began to draw him in at an early age. While living in Argentina he worked within the tourism and public relations industries.

His career within the entertainment industry continued in Bahia, Brazil, where he founded his first bar. Within a year, Alejandro decided it was time for a change and moved to Marbella, Spain where he opened his second bar in Puerto Banus and worked winters in Madrid, leading public relations efforts and production of special events for high-end clubs. In Marbella Alejandro developed sharp networking skills and quickly became known for his unique taste, style and life-size vision of event productions.

After several years in Spain, Alejandro relocated to Miami, FL to pursue a career in event and concert productions. He established his own company, Ferllen Productions, which led public relations efforts and multicultural event productions for a vast variety of clients including: America Online, Billboard, Playboy TV, MTV, The Latin Grammy, and Premios lo Nuestro; as well as working with influent record labels such as: Sony, Universal and BMG. Ferllen Productions has the opportunity to work alongside prestigious national and international magazines and produced concerts for high caliber Latin artists such as: Armando Manzanero, Aterciopelados, Hombres G, Son by Four , Fito Páez, Juanes, Luis Fonsi, Arturo Sandoval, Ricardo Arjona, and Rosario Flores to name a few.

Prior to opening Segafredo Brickell, Alejandro and his partners at Vida Estilo Restaurant Group, began to co-own and have oversee the management of various restaurants in Miami Beach’s famous Española Way. This partnership has grown to include Segafredo Brickell, Segafredo Espanola Way, Segafredo Bal Harbour, The Brickell Irish Pub, Drexel Irish Pub, Oh Mexico!, Café Nuvo and Mojitos Lounge. The Brickell area, along with Espanola Way and Bal Harbour collectively represent everything that Miami is known for. Encompassing the city of Miami’s foremost financial, residential, shopping and tourist hotspots, the locations of these venues are second to none and represent Alejandro’s commitment to be part of Miami’s promising future.

With over 15 years of combined experience in event and concert productions, as well as the club, lounge, restaurant and public relations industries, Alejandro has been declared one of South Florida’s 100 most influential people. He has also been recognized as “the new king of entertainment,” by Ocean Drive Magazine and other media outlets. This successful entrepreneur, lucky enough to hear his calling very early on in life, has managed to perfect the art of entertaining and giving others a taste of the sweeter side of life.

Today, Alejandro divides his time between supervising his businesses and exploring arising opportunities and possible new ventures within local and international markets. This search has led him to his most recent endeavor, Ferllen Winery.

In early 2008, Alejandro began working on a project that is close to his heart and that took him back to where his journey began. When the opportunity to give a re-birth to a Vineyard that had been in the Ferllen family almost a century ago presented itself, he seized it and after much diligent work this dream has become a reality. 2010 will see the launch of Ferllen Winery. Produced in his birthplace of Mendoza, Argentina, and the home of Malbec wine, the fabled grape that, although the darling of French winemakers, was discovered to need the altitude and sunlight found in the Andes mountains of Mendoza to truly thrive, the Ferllen wines are expected to be well received by this country much like their producer feels he has been.
